Zumba for Bear is a success!
Posted: 24th July 2017
The recent Zumba class raising money for Bear, a Double Blue Merle Collie Cross, was a huge success!
The class took place on Saturday 22nd July at Gilcrux Village Hall and a total of £341.94 was raised from the class and the raffle which was drawn on the day! Bear needs a hip replacement as she suffers from hip dysplasia as a result of someone breeding two blue merle collies together. Bear is also deaf and partially sighted due to this.
Bear was adoped in August 2016 by Kate Dunne and Robert Frost who have taught Bear hand signals and spent hours training her!
Fundraising has been taking place over the last few months, and so far £3982 has been raised! Milburns Solicitors donated a Mirror Will Voucher for the raffle, and many other local businesses have also donated prizes. The hip replacement operation will cost £5500, and fundraising is still ongoing!
